Courses

Our Mathematics Courses can be grouped into Developmental Mathematics (MATH 0011 and 0012), Non-Major Courses (all MATH 1xxx courses except Honors Calc 1 and 2), and Major Courses (all MATH courses at the 2000-level or above as well as Honors Calc 1 and 2). Several of our courses can be used to fullfill the core requirements of Arts and Science..

Most of our Computer Science courses are geared towards our major but can of course be taken by anyone with the necessary background. We also offer general CS courses suitable for all students (CSAS 1015, CSAS 1113, and CSAS 2213). These three courses make a nice sequence that will familiarize a student with current trends in Computer Science and give them some hands-on skills they need in an increasingly more complex and technological world. Every student, and in particular every Science student, should take at least one of these courses.
