Oct 21: Upgrade instructions for OpenOffice 1.1.0 (strongly recommended) and Mozilla 1.4.1 (recommended) are now available

Oct 20: SHU*Nix, a new, informal Seton Hall Linux User group was established to discuss all kinds of stuff related to Unix/Linux.

Oct 16: Linux and OpenOffice are going to be formally reviewed by a section of BMIS 2701 under Dr. Rob Weitz

Oct 10: At least 50 laptops (models R31 and R40) have been converted to "dual-boot" Lila laptops.

Sept 16: Help for Linux is now available by calling x2222 and mention it's a Linux problem. Or, visit Dr. visit Dr. David Black, Mon. 12:30 - 2pm and Wed 4pm - 5pm, in FH23

Sept 9: Since the Help Desk will refresh your windows installation as well, several people have asked for "non-destructive" do-it-yourself instructions. Here are the instructions - no warranty, and only for the technically inclined person!

Sept 3: The project has started. If you have an IBM R31 or R40 model you can simply call the Help Desk at x2222 and ask for the dual-boot image with Linux to be installed. PC Support will handle the rest.
