Projects
Our department is involved in a number of projects related to Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Technology. Please click on the links below to find out more.- Andrewskiv Math Competition: An annual event, soon having its 20th anniversary, where we invite students from all high schools in New Jersey to compete for prizes and team honor in a mathematics competition.
- The MapleNet Project: A project sponsored by TLTC and Waterloo Maple to create programs that work with MapleNet, a client-server solution to utilize the computer algebra system Maple.
- Thinklets: A collection of Java applets to enhance teaching and learning, created at Seton Hall. Many of our applets are available for downloading.
- LiLa - the Linux Laptop Project: We are investigating the feasibility of using the free Linux operating system on the thousands of laptops that Seton Hall is leasing to students every year.
- SHUTAP - Seton Hall Tablet Project: We are investigating whether Tablet PCs, laptops with screens you can write on, are more useful for teaching and learning than regular laptops.
- Resultant techniques for composed polynomials: An NSF-sponsored project that investigates high-performance computation for certain structured systems of polynomial equations arising in science and engineering.
